poem: breathe

Breathe

I breathe into me,

when you are away.

I expand who I can be

into the space you leave.

Finding my own way,

I breathe into me.

With a little memory,

and some time to play

I expand who I can be,

without you to see or hold any sway.

I breathe into me.

When next we meet,

you see the change.

I expand who I can be to full capacity.

And when you stay,

I breathe into me.

I expand who I can be.
